JOB DESCRIPTION As an entry level HR Generalist, you will be part of an experienced HR Team and will report directly to the HR Manager. This position is a great opportunity to provide HR Generalist support by performing various administrative duties related to HR, Benefits and Payroll for a multi-site division. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all employees in the Colorado facilities; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Distribute all company communications to employees using various methods, posting on bulletin boards, emails, updating communication packets such as new hire orientation etc.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires/newly eligible employees. Facilitate enrollment for the 401K, and other benefits.
  • Performs benefits administration to include verification of invoicing, preparation of invoicing and communicating benefit information to employees
  • Participates in recruitment efforts for all nonexempt personnel and contractors to include requisition management, job postings, screening applications and updating the disposition in the system, following up with managers regarding interviews, job offers to be extended etc.
  •  Maintain HR Related Employee Files - Employee, Payroll, Workers Comp, Benefits, I9, FMLA etc.
  •  Completes verifications of employment as needed.
  • Creates edits in the Human Resource Information System (ADP Workforce Now) such as importing weekly timekeeping hours.
  • Participates as an active member of the Wellness team.
  •  Supports the HR Manager and HR Generalist along with the operational management team on HR related projects and assignments.

  •  Completes job duties in compliance with federal and state regulations concerning all aspects of HR, Payroll and Benefits.
  •  Provides continuous improvement feedback to the HR Manager and HR Director on opportunities to better support the HR function.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS to be considered as a candidate.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  •  Prefer a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; will consider 2 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in a service orientation environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits regulations.
  •  A strong level Microsoft Office expertise required; experience with ADP products and other systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze situations and drive decisions.
  • Ability to act as a support function to the company, provide advice in a friendly and helpful manner.
