    Creates and or designs program and processes to increase regular and new donations to expand our donor base.
    Manages a comprehensive donor recruitment effort that provides a steady stream of volunteer donor to the fixed donor center, remote drive within our geographic catchment area for Mesa County donor coach drives
    Acts as a liaison with such entities as service groups, business leaders, community representatives and church/synagogue representative to become hosts for recruiting events.
    Works with Public Relations to ensure a creative stream of advertising.
    Effectively tracks and utilizes advertising incentive dollars
    Maintains the appropriate files on donors and blood to composite for expansion of the operations.
    Helps develop project budgetary needs.
    Maximizes the deployment of the donor coach
    Remains thoroughly knowledgeable about Federal Regulations that change donor suitability requirements and translate those changes rapidly into the recruitment efforts.
    Works with a widely diverse population to craft recruiting strategies that are effective for different age, ethnic and social demographic groups.
    Coordinates volunteers at various draw sites and mobile draws as well as the close coordination of technical staff and remote donor draw site representatives.
    Safely operate motor vehicle and comply with driver requirements as defined in SCL Health System’s Driver Safety Policy.

    The Process Improvement Support Specialist supports the implementation of Lean thinking and builds an on-going partnership with clinical and business units to support their quality improvement efforts and culture in the organization. The Process Improvement Support Specialist acts as a liaison for the Process Improvement Department which supports the organization through facilitation, coaching, change management, and process improvement activities. The Process Improvement Support Specialist will work to build knowledge and experience with process and project management, organizational development work, analytical skills, knowledge of the clinical environment, and coaching and facilitation skills.
    This position is part of a team which facilitates, coordinates, and monitors continuous process improvement initiatives for the entire organization.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Supports process improvement projects by 1) having a role in Rapid Improvement Events; 2) encouraging "try storming" and "just do it’s;" all to assist project leaders with achieving successful process improvements.
    • Acts as a guide for change management by 1) communicating process improvement project expectations and deliverables; 2) having an individual accountability for process improvement project deliverables and results; all to build and foster a culture of trust, accountability and continuous process improvement.

    PART I: REFERRALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS
    Works with providers and patients in planning of patient care needs. Responsible for knowing the scheduling guidelines and be able to accommodate urgency of the appointments with specialists. Responsible for knowing the appropriate providers to schedule patients with. Performs patient education regarding their referrals and coordination of care. Responsible for referral follow-through once the appointment has been completed
    Works closely with clinical staff to maintain well documented and supportive patient flow with regards to referral opportunities and tests as necessary. Documents the patient information appropriately in computer systems for positive patient outcomes. Maintains and updates systems to track patient information appropriately.
    Coordinates and works closely with other community clinical areas to support the patient for necessary tests and procedures. Familiar with community resources and maintains a positive relationship with community entities that offer support. Works closely with CMO to maintain referral contracts annually.
    Medicaid pre-authorizations for imaging and procedures as needed. Requires great attention to detail and patient care necessities.
    Participates in strategic clinic meetings as necessary (i.e.: Quality improvement, EMR Committee, Clinic Committee)
    Visits with patients as needed during the clinical hours to ensure timely prior authorization steps and to facilitate timely scheduling
    Maintains cohesive relationships with clinical departments, Medical Providers, and other Medical Office Staff to ensure seamless work flow within the departments (i.e. huddles).
    Assists patients with navigation to community services such as; DHS, community outreach for financial services, legal services, migrant farmworkers, child and migrant services and specialty offices’
    PART II:POPULATION MANAGEMENT
    Coordinates WWC, CCSP, and CRCCP requirements, patient flow, and recall. Completes all billing for grant programs
    Manages patient recall lists. This may include calling patients and rescheduling them for appointments to ensure proper tests or imaging have been performed. This includes handling health maintenance reports for registry purposes and relaying health maintenance results to the patients
    Documents the patient information appropriately in computer systems for positive patient outcomes. Maintains and updates systems to track patient information appropriately. Reports on statistical information and outcomes as required

     
    Qualifications

       
    Education:
    High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology preferred.
    Experience:
    Prefer 3-6 months previous experience in a health care setting or related industry. Computer literate, good communication skills, ability to withstand stress in a high activity area. Previous insurance knowledge preferred.
