Job Details

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.      This positions primary responsibility is to ensure communication with, and among, Grand Junction Community team members related to all patient care information and processes. 
2.      Answering the phone calls into the Grand Junction office in such a manner as to promote a great customer service experience.
3.      Providing administrative support to the Clinical Manager to assist them in staying organized and meeting the needs of clinical staff and patients.
4.      Providing support to the teams and clinical staff in a manner that enables them to be efficient in their time to maximize the time they spend with patients.
5.      Maintaining a system for tracking hospice owned medical equipment (pulse ox, medication carousel, baby monitor, etc.) and ensuring all equipment is cleaned per protocol.


QUALIFICATIONS
-        Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of medical records system.
-        Minimum of one year of experience in administrative work in the medical field.
-        Experience in general computer usage
-        Good secretarial and organizational skills.
-        Good relational skills on a personal level and on the telephone.
-        Excellent communication and verbal and non-verbal skills.
-        Excellent work processing and data entry knowledge and skills.
-        Valid Colorado driver's license and unlimited access to reliable transportation.
-        Adequate automobile insurance.
-        Reads, writes and speaks English in a manner that can be understood by others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-        Light Work – exerting 0 to 20 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.  Frequent walking and standing.

Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
