Support Department of Energy field work.
- Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other applicable industry environmental, health and safety standards.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and outcomes.
- Superior communication skills – verbal and written.
- Strong procedure writing experience.
- Strong report writing experience.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.
- Able to understand and execute processes including: recognizing customer needs, communicating process changes, measuring and assessing success and identifying areas of improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to develop and implement safety and health policies, programs, and training.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to adjust work hours as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to move between tasks and projects on short notice and to quickly change priorities based on customer and department needs, while still meeting project deadlines (Flexibility is key in this role as priorities change quickly).
- Able to work well in a team environment or independently.
- Experience overseeing and managing hoisting and rigging tasks.
- Experience in job planning.
Requirements: 

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety or related field.
- 10 years of experience in safety.
- Possess Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification in good standing.
- Demonstrated ability to implement a 10CFR851 compliant Worker Safety and Health Program.
- 5 years of experience work with safety and health on environmental remediation projects in field environment.
- Department of Energy experience a plus
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
