Responsibilities:
- Format documents in Microsoft Word using templates.
- Edit engineering scope of work narrative.
- Create and apply style guides.
- Generate, create links, and format Table of Contents.
- Create indexes using concordances.
- Format tables and documents to match client specifications.
- Convert documents to .PDF files and embed fonts.
- Maintain formatting consistency.
- Provide copy editing and proofreading of documents.
- Communicate with supervisor on deadline and/or challenges with meeting deadlines.
- Must maintain document version control, tracking changes and layout of document in template form.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Language, business, journalism, or related field. Experience may be substituted.
- 3 plus years of experience in a document production environment requiring skills in document formatting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Editing knowledge.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Professional.
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of software to create documents, spreadsheets, timelines, and reports.
- Strong grasp of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Flexibility to work additional hours (evening and weekend) as required by workload.
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work independently with minimal supervision.
