GIS Technician

Does the thought of working with maps and spatial data excite you? Are you highly motivated to learn new skills and be part of a fast-paced and focused team?
We’re seeking two to three full-time employees with the following skills and qualities:

• GIS and/or GPS experience (novice - expert; we will train)
• Aptitude for spatial orientation
• Knowledge of road networks
• Detail oriented and computer proficient (Mac used in office)
• An interest in learning new computer programs and technologies
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Good communication skills
• Multi-lingual (especially Spanish) a plus, but not required

Staff will assist Kaart Group with a global mapping project. Job duties include:

• Creating clean, accurate, detailed and user-friendly map data from company sources
• Research street and business information from additional reference sources
• Performing QA/QC of map data
• Travel to Central/South America is possible for the right candidates

Positions are full-time, with some hour flexibility. All hardware and software is supplied by Kaart Group. Reimbursement is $10 - $12 per hour to start, based on experience.
