Summary
This position will be part-time Monday - Friday April 2016 through September 2016This is a skilled position requiring the individual to act in a professional administrative function that provides a contribution to the company mission by providing support on various Human Resources functions including compiling, creating, updating, and sending reports to company, regulatory compliance, fielding phone calls, assisting customers, scanning and other HR related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Records employee information in Viewpoint System such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination data.
- Onboard new hired employees by conducting new hire orientation.
- Assist employees with Medical Leave Process.
- Assists in administration of employment application system and assists in other employment activities.
- Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Assists with company benefit programs; orientation, entry and data management.
- Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
- Helps to administer DOT, I-9, and other human resource processes.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with questions.
- Responsible for helping the department with special projects as needed
- Assists HRM with all site projects, reporting and other daily tasks

- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
- Ability to do basic math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Computer proficieniency is mandatory
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred
- One to Two years previous HR experience or related education is preferred not required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move any where up to 25 lbs. Physical agilities test may be required. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
